A non-muslim's exact error about The Quran By Mustafa Abdallah at 2007-02-19 14:57:42

First of all, as we know The Quran is in arabic because of the richness of arabic language. When it is translated into another languages some words cant be the exact translation of that word. So translators use the most near words instead of it. Naturally It causes problems sometimes. In reading Quran, the most appropriate way is to read a Quran Tafsir; not translation of it. Tafsir is a scientific branch of the Quran. Anyone who wants to write a tafsir of the Quran he has to know some scienfic branches. In short, to write a tafsir is not a easy work to do and not everyone cant write tafsir books. Islam's two main sources are the Quran and hadiths; teachings of Muhammad (pbuh). So we have to study Quran in the ligth of hadiths. Why we have to study Quran in the light of Hadiths? Because The Quran is not a book that contains details about everything; as an example prayers. The Quran tells us fast but we can learn how to fast, we we have to fast in hadiths. Another example; The Quran tells about pilgimage but not gives its details. So we can learn what pilgrimage is and how to be fulfilled in hadiths. In short, READING ONLY A QURAN TRANSLATION and LATER COMMENT ABOUT IT IS THE MOST EXACT ERROR THAT EVERYONE DO. |

By Vinod Isaac at 2007-02-19 18:07:53 Does that mean God of Mulims is limited to Arabs? then he should be a local god not the universal?
